What lurks in the forest?

The secrets of the wolves? Now they are yours. You’ve blitzed past many stretch goals, so all the elements of the Beasts of Bordeaux Adventure are safely secured! Every core box will now include this complete Adventure to bring the total number of Acts in a core pledge to 11, and 12 if you snagged an Early Bird pledge. That’s dozens of hours of gaming time just to play through them all once, and there are many ways you can return to explore these adventures a second, or fifth time. 

A whole pack of vulpine terrors, with a giant Alpha wolf at their head, now roams the dark forest of the Bordelais. Rumour tells of werewolves too, lurking in their midst. By day, these horrors pass as normal villagers, and by night they slaughter any who cross their path. At least, that’s what the locals tell Solomon Kane when he stumbles into this drama.

You must guide the Puritan through the black depths of the forest, and past the tangles of the villagers’ lies and superstition, to reveal the truth and save the innocents. As with all our Adventures, there is more than one way for this tale to play out, and more than one possible ending. Each time you play will be different, and the answer to the mystery of the werewolves may surprise you.

The new Discovery cards are specific to this Adventure, adding a further level of detail and character to the Beasts of Bordeaux story. This includes bespoke descriptions of your exploration of the dark forest of Bordelais, the interactions Solomon Kane has with the werewolf-hunting villagers, and the plaintive pleading of those accused of this vile taint. 

The new tiles let you explore the dark paths of the forests, and venture into the wolf’s lair at its heart. If you survive that far, of course. The forests are home to many wolves, both mundane and supernatural, and as you know from the stretch goals, they hunt in packs… With this Adventure concluded, we must now move on. We have already gone through a great many stretch goals, but we have a few more yet to explore before our time here is done. 

If you are interested in any of our add-ons, simply click on the green “manage your pledge” button near the top of the page. Then increase your total by the amount of any add-ons you wish to include in your pledge. So, if you have an Early Bird Puritan pledge ($110) and want to add the Early Bird Virtuous Bundle ($190) so that you have everything available for Solomon Kane, you would increase your total to $300. 

Please note that during the campaign there is no way for you to tell us what the money you pledge is actually for, so don’t worry about that now. Instead, after the Kickstarter is over we will send you a “pledge manager”. This allows you to tell us exactly how you want to allocate your pledge, which add-ons you would like, how many core boxes, and (most importantly) where we need to send it all! 

 Also note that you need to take the Early Bird Virtuous bundle if you have an Early Bird pledge, to avoid getting The Right Hand of Doom twice.
